I currently run a 200 coned case, and want something stronger as I now have my vking over 100MPH and want a stronger LU. Since I will buy a sporty or cle because of surfacing strength I want to know what is the internal differences between the sportmaster and a CLE? Thanks in advance
I am no expert, but I think both have hardened internals. The sporty case is a little longer so less apt to blow out. It is also stronger; I cracked 2 cle's before I went to the sporty and have not had a problem since. Sporty is a little fater and most people say that translates to a little slower, but I have not run them back to back to tell the difference.

If you are running 100+, go for the Sportmaster. As mentioned above, it's safer at those speeds.

Yep, 107. The 200 case scares me. That's why I am in the market. Don't want gear case failure at that speed with a vbottom. I think I will go ahead and find a sporty with a fat shaft. Course my props will need to be re hubbed. Anybody know what people charge to re hub props? Thanks.

ITS LIKE $250. AND DONT FORGET THAT IT WILL BE A PAIN IN THE A$$ TO FIND PROPS FOR.

I agree, I'd stay with small shaft.
