It would appear that quite a few folks here are using this 0W product? I just ordered a gallon for my LU on a 200 EFI made in 2000. I am pulling my LU apart, cleaning, and resealing prior to use.

Questions:
1. Has anyone ran this product for an extended length of time? (More than the few runs conducted during the testing shown here) Any issues with wear?
2. What was used to "flush" the LU during the test?
3. Any issues with wear for extended use?
4. Reccomended change interval?
Thanks, Mike

The local marine mechanic that runs drag boats didn't have anything good to say about the 0W products, and that he has tried quite a few and the wear on the internals always lead him back to regular Merc lube.

I would not run it for every day use.

Don't run it for everyday use.

I have used it to race with and test and have not had good results.

I am done using it.

I am still running there 2 stroke oil and every time I tear a race motor down they still look great inside. I am turning this motors to 11k rpm and have had no failures......GREAT OIL..just very dirty.

I'll second RPM's results. For everyday running.....Merc High Performance gear lube. No problems.

The Alisyn products work great BUT I would run their thicker oil in everyday use...

I have bass boat customers who have run it for up to 10 years (changing annually) with no problems on the Yamahas. I have gear cases we have raced it in for that long without a problem.
