I'm sorry, it sat up on a sign post for god knows how long untill one of the motors fell off, it's an absolute ****ing disaster of a basket case. Sure it's old, ok it has a history. But it is hardly worth 1,500 let alone 15,000. If, IF it had the original motors maybe. More power to the person who bid 8,000 on it.

I'm not sure how that sweetens the deal. I know about the wings and such, but jeez...

I was wondering if that was the one on the sign post. I still think its pretty damn cool. If money were no object, it would be in my garage having someone restore it. Later, Dave

Suppose someone found out that there was a mistake and there was one more Hemi 'Cuda convertible than previously known .... and you found it rusting away ... unrecognizable in your next door neighbor's yard or the farm down the road with a sign that said "Free for removing from property"

Would the car still just be junk?

Considering it is a unibody Mopar with advanced rust problems, that one's too easy, so I'll let it lie and decline comment...:D

I still don't think it was that bad of deal. It did come with a brand new tandem axle car hauler. That has to be worth $5000 itself. I'll say it again, If I had the money, I would own it!! Later, Dave

Well, I Started The 8k Bid, Got In My Truck To Drive Home With Full Intentions Of Buying It At 13k. Well Least To Say I Was Driving For 45 Mins And Someone Else Bought It.. You Know All Of This Stuff Is High.. If All Together With Twin Stackers Would Say 50k (restored) But Then Again Try Putting Together A New Ally Drag With All Stuff To Try To Win That 50k Plus.. Is That Insane Too?? :)

So I Guess Some Of Us Are Bittten By This Boat Stuff So That Is Why I Have No Money .. Its All In Boats.. :) But I Enjoyed It.. Wished I Had Bought The Wing.. Cause I Have 2 Stacker To Have Put On It..

if it was a 71 hemi cuda convertible, it wouldn't matter what was wrong with it! only made 11, all 11 exist today. that's why they are selling for 2 million, there are no more in a barn to wish about.

Years ago, someone was vintage racing a Ferrari GTO and was asked if he was worried about wrecking his multi million dollar car. He said no, only the VIN number was worth millions. The rest of the parts could be replaced.

I think the same thing would be true of a Hemi Cuda.

But for most old cars, it costs much more to restore a wreck (by accident or age) than the end result is worth. This is probably true for a Wing as well, but more power to someone who wants to restore some history.
