7 ring 2.4 in place of 8 ring 2.5 crank

i have a 95 200 efi block with a 8 ring crank but the crank is bad i bought a 7 ring 2.4 i have already put the 2.5 center bearings on it just want to know if i should leave the 8th ring off or put it on,the ports have been raised to promax spec. and it also carbed anybody tried this ?

You'll have plenty of oiling and the motor will have better primary compression on 2 of the cylinders if you run all 8.
