Anyone know if a distributor from a 1969 1250 would work in a 1970 1150?
Thanks
Jeff

If it doesn't I'll buy your 1250 dist.

It will work. How's my old "WET AND WILD" doing?

Thanks Barry, How are ya? Looks like I'm set and Mr. Velocity is out of luck.
BTW hoping to get the Checkmate in the water this summer I've been away for the last year and a half or so. Very eager to get the boats ready. Except I sold the 150 I had before I left.
I have a few other inlines still no shorties though. Although I have a short shaft 80 horse that may donate it's mid to a new project.:D

Don't over look the ignition module as the potential problem. I have several that "work" but not like new. I know they are expensive, but if you intend to actually run an old inline it is money well spent.

Mark75h, the 1150 had the distributor removed from it when I got it. I just happen to have a 1250 parts motor handy and wasn't positive if the distributors were interchangeable or not.

I have a 115 dist on a mid 70's motor, actually have the whole motor if any body is interested. I also have a inline 6 thats a 1959-60 complete if interested. (
