On my 28 Skater, The wind noise at high speed is almost unbarable .Other than ear plugs or slowing down (NEVER) are there any wind diflectors that will work on this boat?
Thanks
Frank

there are wind deflectors available that do work, not the best looking. if you are not in a huge hurry i am having castings made to build the mounts for a trick windshield for my 28. you will be able to see the finished product, then i can hook you up if you like. thanks

I'd look at that too. Anybody ever try those Fish Hedz? They look cheap for the money they want. I'm getting tired of the helmut just to use intercoms myself

The 32 Wind screen looks good.Does it cut down on wind noise? What did it cost? Looks Very custom. I would also be interested in seeing the ones beeing made for the 24.

http://finneys.com/windflaps.htm work very well at any speed your skater can run. Buy the ones with the curved lip, they make all the difference in the world. Skater uses these same flaps.

How does the cockpit cover work with that windscreen? Looks like it fits over it and the fasteners are the snaps. Does the cover chafe the top of the windscreen? I guess a modified cover would have to suffice.

Click on this link this is my boat I wouldn't trade or sell them for all the tea in china. When your going slow fold them down for a good breeze and when there up you can talk to passanger @ 100+. Downfall I don't know where they came from but you won't be dissappointed if you can find them. Let us know if you do.

Your right they don't interfer with the cover when folded and they don't look bad either I've seen some ugly ones. I try and find where they came from.

i have used the flip ups, they really do work way better than you would expect. i just wanted function and good looks, so the one i am having made is very custom, will look more like the new big skater windshields, there are five braces, left and right,a middle, and the left and right wrap around ends. they should however be able to fit any 28 out there once the molds are made. two of the five pieces are almost complete.

just got all the pieces back from the foundry, they still need to be prepped and machined for all the hardware. they are very trick, they will be able to be powdercoated any color. my boat is all white with white windscreen so i am thinking white with clear windshield, maybe even outline the windshield in white, we will see, i will take some photos.
