Has anyone ever had a 280 that would not idel down. Boat ran and ideled fine, shifted good no problem, than both motors started to idel at 3000k. Has anyone eles ever had a problem with there idel.

The only time I've seen 280's idle high is when someone removed the front support plate from the horn to the cowl pan and did not reinstall the bolts to plug the holes which allows more air into the intake.

Seen it on removed gas/air screw spings..or new motor got loose.

I Have Had It Happen To Me But I Only Have One And It Was The Butterfly Gap Opened Too Far Had To Reset At 5 Thousandths Air Gap.

That seems odd that both motors would do it. Unless it was a linkage problem with controls and cables. I would start with the linkage. It's easier than getting into TPS, etc.

Thanks for all the input, fixed the problem and motors are working great. Now they idel and shift fine. I did put in a 1'' space and that was my problem. Thanks Bryan

Yep, a 1 inch spacer would do it. Good deal, no big $$$$
