whats better a oiler or non oiler 2.4 merc? will 1987 2.4 internals work in a early 80,s 2.4 225 block? thanx a bunch

I want to see this one as well. I've taken the little do dad off my 86 and it looks like a cam from the crank runs the oiler. My 83 looks the same where the oil do dad is mounted on the 86.

It don't matter whether it an oiler or not...same performance...If ya use a oiler crank, juss leeve tha oil geer on the crank.......Be aware ov tha 2 differnt size top bearings(top crank journals are differnt sizes)...but both bearings are still avalible, but ya also need the top cap that goes wit the crank U use.....
