mercury hi performance gear lube works well, change it approx.every 10 hours .readily available at merc dealers, & not too expensive:D

The Alisyn folks make a GREAT fully syn gear lube they are supporting vendors of Scream and Fly, and have a freight free special going on for Scream and Fly folks...

IMO I'd run thier heavier oil for recreational use... ( 80 wt )

Good luck,

I would go synthetic.

Pennzoil has a synthetic marine gear lube as well. Some Wal Marts carry it. It may not be up to Alisyn standards, but it is most likely cheaper than Merc's and has better lubrication performance.
