Mercury Marine has developed new power for outboard offshore center console applications. Mercury and Mercury Racing extend a challenge to owners of high horsepower - triple outboard-powered center console boats to run against Mercury’s newest engines.

Event Details

What: Outboard Offshore Center Console Shoot-Out

When: High noon – Thursday, January 24, 2008

Where: Fountain Powerboats Headquarters: Washington, North Carolina

Results will be announced in the Mercury Booth at the Miami Int’l Boat Show

he's running 300's...I believe he's still testing set up though......

I don't know how much fun to go watch it will be, but I should be able to see some of it from right here at the office.

I have heard a couple of inboards out today and yesterday, but thats about it.

yeah its really not a race....but neat marketing - I think it's a V350 with new heads (maybe DI) and other new innards...burning 91 octane......

and they want some perf #'s for the show....no more.....

I'm sure we will never hear the results of this.......IF anyone showed up I'm sure according to them it will look like teveryone was affraid or they beat everyone and the best they could do was a couple of bayliners

no one showed or was supposed to..the boat will be at the hog's breath this year to really race anyone..lotsa boats there.......

Its pretty COLD this morning.

Don't know of to many that would want to go out there just to watch some slow boats.
