I know some guys are into RC , next weekend in Orlando on Lee Vista Blvd at Lake Richard is one of the largest gatherings of both Gas and Nitro boats you will see . Race starts Thursday and runs till Sunday .

Fish , Fun , the skiffs are friggin unbelievable , right up on the side just like the real ones ! Gas powered with zenoah 26 cc modified powerplants 18,000 rpm ! Saturday would probably be the best day , weather is supposed to be great , bring money you will end up with something !!!
Racing starts at 8:00 AM each day and it is a contiuous rotation of heats without stopping till its over , you snooze ...you looz !

Go to Insaneboats.com for galleries of pics as well as RCuniverse.com , videos , find the northern nats video like 15 min long all kinds of racing including skiffs ........Also Jims r-c boat dock is the big gas website .........back to welding !!

I drove by the lake on Lee Vista Blvd and saw a couple of cars parked on the north side of the lake. How do you get over there? Looks like you just jump the curb and drive up the east side; I couldn't see any other way to get over there.

Thats the way , over the curb and park where all the other cars are and walk over . I'll be there at 5 :00 AM tomorrow dropping my trailer !!

You would be surprised at what you can get a used one for and the motors are pretty bullet proof . A piston is ony 27 bucks and they will run all day on a gallon of 87 octane unlike my nitro twin that burns 32 oz of 30.00 gal 60 % fuel every run :eek::eek:

If you're coming from Jax, I'd recommend continuing down I-4 to SR 528 (the Beachline), then East to SR 436 You'll pay $1.50 in tolls, but it's tons faster. Even better, pick up SR 417 (the Greenway) in Sanford and take it down to Lee Vista Blvd, then West about 4 miles to 436 and another 1/4 mile to the lake. More tolls, but less traffic and a real time saver.

but i've seen some of the gas boats in offshore configuration, their huge! like 3' long, i can just imagine a true replica that big with the dependability of a weedeater motor :D :D :D :D :D that would be exciting! you could relate, the 4 points are friekin unbeliveable and thats it, the offshores you can kinda envision being in, but a 3' open skiff w/2 heads you can see would seem REAL! i can't wait! :D

is my 45" Insane gas mono run in offshore too. Built with all new parts for around $1600.00. It's a blast, Keepin me goin til the real deal gets here in March.

Exactly how you get over there. if your going east on less vista you must go down 1/8 of a mile and do a u turn and get in the right lane. Then jump the curb...

My brother just called; a friend of his can't make it to the Rolex 24 and is overnighting me his tickets with reserved infield parking, pit passes etc. for the four days. Can't pass that up!! I guess I won't spend as much time at the lake as I thought.

Frigging great race !!! Thanks to all the hot boaters from Fl . that showed up to suck NITRO FUMES !!!i Had a great run last night with the twin and hit a bouy at 90 + in the final heat today ....minor carnage !!

Rich Junker of Leading Edge Propellerwas there with his awesome son Zach who was burning up the water this weekend !! Rich also dominated B Hydro !

Lil Jon is now a model boater as well as Keith , mister Fun ! Lots of stuff got torn up today as witnessed by Bill , Wiley Coyote . Great fun !

The Atlanta Spring Nationals is coming up in April and it is a huge race and very well attended . I wont be there but it will be very competitive .
