View Full Version : anybody here from western north carolina?
my wife and i did a dry run to lake james saturday and it was great. found a good public landing and the park has alot to offer. didn't seem to be too crowded either.so anybody here been up there or make regular trips up there? it's only 35 miles from my house.Jim King
am i all alone up here or down here:o i was hoping to find someone else around here to boat around with. you know i had an idea of having decals made for my windsheild being a split window tri-hull on one half "scream" and "fly" on the other half, right now i don't have a center window but when i do put "and" in the middle. that would look cool. what do you think?Jim King

You are not alone...!
At least in NC.
I'm on Lake Norman, just downriver from James. Where are you located, and where do you usually boat at, if not on James?
James is nice; we were up there last year riding around in the early spring checking it out. Would love to take the I/O up there if I could find the time and a trailer (I'm on a lift).
well at least a couple here, g-man your aways away but i have been to wilmington, saw the 4th of july fireworks from the navy ship one year and stayed at topsel island the week before the hurricane came through. don,t get that way much anymore.
raysoncrafter, i live in connelly springs, just outside morganton i am originally from minnesota and fished for pike, musky and walleye so i am interested in lake james for that reason. i have been on lake wylie once with someone else and too many people. i imagine lake norman is the same, i just got my boat it is a 15ft glastron tri-hull with a 75 horse chrysler, needed some work and hopefully test run this weekend. i will probably try to get to lake norman sometime this year but it is hard to plan anything any more.well take care.Jim King
