17 hydro powercat build

Well I started the tear down and man, I think he put latex paint on , I blew that off and I'm gonna say there was 7 layers of that, and under that there had to be 10 or more layers of other stuff..

My dad scraped about 5 layers off with a scraper and started hitting it with 80 grit,
the green is the Gel, and its almost off also

they are pearl white with pearl blue pipin' the pearls really so in the sun. even on the boat:D I like covering my side pieces and I can get to work putting it together,OHb still got to paint my dash, darn it, getting behind

looks good. with epoxy if you dont follw the instruction, thr second coat will pull thr first off. that may have been the origanal issue.

I really miss my PowerCat. Had a 16t with a 200 BlackMax back in '79. That boat would scream (83 on the speedo) and was a blast to drive. Very hard to find one now days, those you have look sweeeeet.
