I just can't see this boat or any boat going 120 MPH with only a 200HP.. Maybe a 200HP block that has been ported, polished, cut heads, relived exhast, tweeked and generally modified.. But maybe US1 can back up his claims since I have never gotten the pleasure to play with a hull like this...

But it does look like a fun boat... Not knocking the hull at all.. I would love it.. But with a 200 stock engine I think I would be VERY happy with low 90's.. And that might be pushing it with my 235 lbs. butt..

It will do 120 MPH when rigged for a Kilo run. The 200HP he is talking about is not a stock 200HP 6000 RPM fishing motor its a SST120 race motor, rated at 200 HP but capable of turning 10,000 RPM.

Now I kinda feel stupid... But I knew if there was someone here that could back up his claims I knew it would be you...

I have never driven one. There was one running in the F1 race at Laughlin last weekend, it looks like it runs good. Of course there is no boat faster than mine.;) After all my boat used to be Greg Fosters.

The boat was built by Gary Pugh in Knoxville, TN. Pugh boats are very competitive in the SST 120 class. Gary won the APR series last year, and his 120 boats won the natioanls. With an SST 120 motor the boats will run in the low 100's on a short course. The SST 120 kilo record is over 120. Torente won the first APR race this year in a 2001 Pugh at Altamonte. I think the top three boats at Altamonte were all built by Gary. The boats are fast and handle well. I do not know this particular boat but if it is in good shape it should make a good boat for someone wanting to get into SST 120.

I know who these guys are selling this boat. If they tell you something runs 120, it runs 120. PERIOD.

Trust me. They have more than one scaryfast boat and have no reason to make things up.
