how do you tell if your lower unit is a 15" or a 20" ???

Just measure it from skeg to top??

Which is better??

It can vary from engine make. Best way to tell for sure is measure from cavitation plate to transom brackets in the area that would sit on top of the transom. 20" will be AROUND 20".
