The yellow/blk wire that goes from the key switch to motor is used to kill the engine. Yes? So if I disconect it from key switch and ground it, the motor should stop. Yes? If so mine doesn't. Any suggestions. Thanks Mike

I am pretty sure that it is the black wire with the yellow tracer that kills the motor when grounded, and the yellow wire with black tracer is the choke i think?

Once I cut the right wire does the wire from the switch or the motor go to the kill switch? Thanks Mike

RPM I think your right because when I had the Yellow w/blk tracer hooked to my kill switch I did not hear my choke clicking. THanks Mike

a ground wire (solid black) comes into the switch from the key harness and when the kill wire is pulled the switch closes and sends a ground down the Black with yellow tracer to the motor's switch box and that shuts it off. The exact same wireing is on the kill in the key switch aswell.
WAIT TO GET YOUR MANUAL BACK or find a complete wire diagram on line. When you are done make sure both the key and the kill switch shut the motor off and the kill works with the key both on and off.

yellow w/black is choke
that is what I thought, but it has been a long time since I have hooked a choke wire up. I have had only EFI's for years now.
The "choke" wire can also connect to the ECU enrichment wire on an EFI.

So I should cut the Black/Yellow wire from the key switch and hook it to the open lug on my kill switch and the other lug to ground.
Don't cut it from the key switch, the key switch may be also grounging it in the OFF position.
