You are fortunate to be creating memories like those, mine is 14 and I'm trying to cram in as much as I can before it's all over. Well, not all over but it will never be like that day again. You know what I mean? Cherish all you can, it does go by fast!:)

You should bring him to River Ranch. He won't need the coat. Can he change a bilge pump?

Thanks Guys.
I Know what you guys mean. Hes only been around for 3 years and It feels like its just flown by in no time.
The John boat! That is one of the Zephyr class race boats for the antuque outboard club races.
With the 1947, 4 cylinder 5.4hp zephyr it runs 15.5mph (engine on the left)
With the 1952 Fleetwin 7.5hp it runs 20.5mph (Right side motor)
The Fleetwin had a problem after a couple hours of WOT testing so durring the repair process she recived some modifications. Now it wants to blow the prop out. If I can get the prop to stay hooked up it runs 24.4 mph (Best on GPS) My guess is we picked up another 1 HP with the mods i did.
Its like riding a large surf board at those speeds. I know it sounds silly but its right on the edge of being overpowered for tiller control.
And NO I havent run it with both motors. With my 200lbs in the back of that feather weight boat and one outboard it is one good splash over the transom from sinking. With twins im sure it would go right to the bottom.... Unless I rig center steering......hmmmm:D

Your son looks so cute.
I think it's so cool that he shows the interest in the boat.
Keep up the pic's of him to show him when he gets older.
The pic's remind me of my son at that age, helping me do things.
My son was the same way, he had a wrench in his hand around 3 or 4 .
I still have a very good relationship with him and we still today do alot of things together. He is now planning to get married and I hope that does not changes things to much !
Great pic's !

This fellow doesn't do any cleaning yet... In fact he makes quite the mess. Interesting how most of you are reflecting back with older children and I'm just starting out. I hope my son will enjoy boating as much as I...
