there is an old boat saying. "you have 2 good days with a boat" the day you buy it, and the day you sell it!!!!!!
i totally disagree!!!!!!!!
when you post a problem on here just try to give as much info as possible!!!!
year, carbs or efi, hp, compression numbers. exactly what it is doing. it makes it easier for everybody to help you.

haha i have heard that quote but i don't plan on selling i need some kind of project this winter it needs upolstery and i plan on building i medium small block because the one in it now is pretty tired but when in comes to quotes i always say "a bad day on the water is better then a good day at work"
thanks for the insight i will be asking plenty of questions when i do my outdrive swap i found one laying in an f150 in this little town that makes mine look like i hunk of crap and he sold it to me CHEAP so i bought it

How about this one. " A boat is a hole in the water in which you throw money into". And you know that to be fact by now. Nordic bubble deck??

Nah, the two best days are when you hit the speed everybody said was impossible with that boat and the first time you stuff it and survive (usually the same day)
welcome to the boards!

If you need some OMC help all you have to do is ask. There are a few of us here who almost know what we are doing. Then there are a couple of real gurus, who have forgotten more then the rest of us will ever know. And then, there are a couple of "mad scientist" types that do things that will really blow your mind.
What motor do you have? I see you talking about an outdrive. While most of us are outboard types I'm sure somebody can help you out.
Oh yea, welcome!!

yea she has a tiny bubble in the deck it makes me happy im always the outcast in the boat guys i ride with they are all berkley guys because the colorado river is near by but the boat was a good buy and looks to be a fun project and many twenty packs of beer anyway that dang omc im sure everyone who owns one knows that the tilt is a pain in the ass but i bought another one and it seems to be in alot better shape but the outdrive i puchased came off a 3.8 gm block and the motor in the boat is a 350 "that's for you jphil and anyone else" and i reasearched it and found the gear ratio is slightly different i feel that it isn't a big deal unless it gives me more acceleration the boat already accelerates hard enough im looking for some top end speed here we got the boat at 54 on gps im sure that's slow to most of you other guys but this is my first boat we are talking about here anywway i'll just get to the point im wondering if anyone has an answer for that i believe the gearing in the outdrive on the boat is a 21 16 and the one i bought is a 21 19 or something other and both outdrives are stringers the one i purchased is a suffix k which im told the only difference is the tilt where it runs a double seal or something other anyway thanks to everyone welcoming me pleasure to meet you all
BTW seems like most of you are all from the east coat area
