I am new to CT and this is my first post here, can anyone suggest a place that may be able to help me out with upholstery. I need to have my back seat cusions fixed. Seems the internal pannels need some help. Looking for good work, without getting ripped off.... Thanks

Ok, got a line on a guy who does custom work. You just need rear seats recovered? Need new foam? Frames rebuilt?

Yeah actually am only looking for the inserts to be replace, nothing too crazzy, just need someone willing to search for a similar color so I do not have to do the entire boat. Since it is winter, thought this is the best time to work on it... I will cut the wood myself and glass them and hope to use the same foam, I have not opened it up yet... Not till I find the right place.

Stupid prior owner let everyone and there familys use the seats as a step... some people just do not care when they have money....

Thanks for the welcome.... I actually think I caught the tail end of the river run.

Just moved here from AZ so I am trying to adjust to the waterways out here... Was not sure who the river run was open to (ie outboards/jets/inboards). Sold my 79 Jet before moving here, bought a nice 21' Cobalt. Boated most of the end of the summer on Candlewood Lake (family there).

Art what is the number?

I'll see my contact tomorrow, I'm not sure if what you need is the type of thing he does, but I'll find out.

Check out the gallery for pics of the River Run:)

Thanks Pete,

This is what I have always loved about boating, everyone pitch's in to help out other boaters.
It has been a big change boating in CT compared to AZ . Everything in AZ was a party and everything out here is very concervative... My second to last day on the water for the season I finally found a few guys/girls to have a beer with.... Wish people out here would let loose and have some fun... Boating is about relaxing and meeting new people!!:D

Thats how it always works, you find someone who is good and fair and they pick up and move. Well I guess I will have to check into some of these other guys.

Well as long as you guys do not hold aything against my cobalt with an I/O, and the fact I drink Coors Light and shoot Jack Daniels, I will watch the forums for the dates and try to swing the trip. Heck we use to drive an hour for a movie in AZ, 2-3 hours to boat is no sweat...

It depends on whether you want to camp in a tent or stay at a bed and breakfast. The camps sites do not go real quick.

I think you need to book fairly early if you want a waterfront site. I prefer the elegance of the Flip Inn.:D

nothing like roughing it at the fashionable Flip Inn![unless you join Ct.'s upper crust at the Bed&Breakfast!]!!!

It was my first Romp last year. Lots of good people........but I didn't notice anyone that would warrant being called "upper class" :p
