The auction is for a 1971 Brocolli "A" runabout with a 1950's KG4H racing motor {plus a nice nearly new trailer}. Craig Bowman's lines are very close to Ralph DeSilva's on this boat, the cockpit/transom area is distinctively wider though. The motor appears to have a Mark20H crankcase (gold paint), may hav ethe center roller type 20H crankshaft as well.

Auction started high with one bidder on the seller's $1,500 opening bid. A little high to get auction fever going on this one. Seller also has set a reserve on this. A high opening bid and reserve are going to scare a lot of would be bidders away. If you are going to use the reserve you might as well start low and get a lot of guys interested, it doesn't cost any more. Gold paint and possible 20H internal parts might detract from some buyer's opinion of this rig...wouldn't win a Concours judged show would it?

Too bad for the seller most collectors are cheap guys like me and usually not interested in nice complete rigs like this.

Hope no one misunderstod, this boat isn't mine or do I know the person selling. I stumbled across it at eBay and though the collectors here might be interested.
