does not work that way...a gen I 275 cannot become a new Gen II 300....a new gen II 275 bought new within the last two months that carries the new mods to the block and pistons could become a 300 by swapping out the PCM for a 300 PCM if you could get one...I doubt that merc will sell them seperately without a 300 ser # due to emmisions...
