Got a brand new Yamaha HT 60 and am having an issue with the motor which service place can't yet fix. When slowing from cruise 5000-5500 rpm, passing 2500-3500 rpm on the way down the motor suddenly coughs/ quits only to catch again then run rough at about 1000 rpm only to stall. Then starts and runs fine. This is an intermittent issue. I have recently replaced main battery on advise from service tech. Same problem happens again. Any ideas from the pros? Thanks ahead of time.

Fuel Injected or Carbureted?

If it is that new then your dealer needs to get on the phone with Yamaha.

fuel pressure regualtor, I also have seen a few bad ecm's on these motors, not nearly as many as the 30 horse but a few.
