1966 1100 ss

a guy around my way is selling a 1966 1100ss...it has #1 rod through the block and reverse may be blown...does this motor have any value to anybody?? what makes the ss different?

It might make a nice mailbox post.I'm pretty sure The SS was for solid state ignition.

The only value the engine might have is if it's a short shaft the 1100 was an odd ball it had a larger bore than most of the old tiger blocks. but many parts are interchangable.
