I have only seen you from a distance, but when Tommy had that boat it was spotless (still looks really clean). It was only doing mid seventys then. did he pull the motor before he sold it?

i bet a good wetsand and polish would do that boat wonders....then all you would have to do is keep it waxed...i have done boats that bad and you would be amazed...a paintjob on that thing aint cheap....
do you really leave the boat in without bottom paint????

Ive been down that road before..."wet sand and wax and wax and wax..."
A nice coat of imron would do it some real wonders. besides someone decided to clearcoat the deck and then neglect it for many years after so it leaves me almost no choice. I do appreciate any suggestions but ill never be happy with it if i dont bite the bullet and paint it.
As for the bottom paint, i cant bring myself to paint it. Its a lot of work but ive hauled it 3 times since july to clean it kind su ks but it would be worse if i owned a scarab with bottom paint.lol

there aint nothing wrong with bottom paint....save your bottom from blistering...paint it with two coats of VIVID black...afetr being in the water for a week it looks like it has bottom paint anyway...

Hey Ghost
The bottom of my boat is painted black and it dosen't look anything like bottom paint. If I had to take my boat out every day and wash it after every use, thats what I would do before I slopped that stuff on. Bottom paint leave it to the Crusiers And Sport Fishermans of the world.:(

snake your boat is a different story...
but bottom paint if applied properly and maintained properly does nothing to slow down a boat...if the boat is left in the water for extended periods of time like the Scarab in question is then it pays to bottom paint....if he does not then eventually the hull will blister below the water line and cause major headaches...aside from the fact that as i mentioned before after one week the boat looks like it has bottom paint on it anyway....

It's the simplest thing in the world if the pix are digitized and in your computer......
It must be at least as easy as that website that we can't find the pictures in.:D
It was good seeing you last Sunday.
