Wow, that's an old one. By the looks of the number, a very early '80's. Someone with MDAS will give you the year.

I took the number off the swivel bracket. Its got to be later than the 70`s. ( For what its worth,) the other owner told me it was the late 80`s early 90`s. Its got the clam shell hood and its oil injected. Is there a number on the block somewhere? Thanks in advance!!!

should be a model number along with the serial number on the tag you're refering to. I'm getting its between '78 and '88. I think the clamshell cowls were only up throught like '88 and '89, changed them then.

That serial number is at the beginning of the serial number range for that motor, so it has to be a late '70's to a very ealy '80's. I'd say no newer than an '81

Did they have oil injection back in the late 70`s?
