I do not know but I would be sure that BRP would have a stockpile already. We all just have to wait & see. At least we know they are on the horizon. These new engines are gonna kick butt. The 115 E-tec is already head & shoulders over all the others on the market, the 130, 250HO & 300 are gonna be the same for there designed market. I will be updating performance data on the 250HO as it comes in. It is making serious inroads into the ski racing circuit in Australia. 90mph pulling a skiier on a 5.7m boat & it isn't even dialed in yet. Still experimenting with setup & props. Fantastic on fuel as well. The 300 is quieter than the previous 250hp & has incredible torque. Great for BIG BIG boats. All are 3 star emission compliant & excellent on fuel. New gearcases on the 250HO (about 275hp) & the 300hp. The gearcases are different on each engine. The 250 & 300 share a 3.4 litre powerhead but have different electronics (EMM), tuned for the their designed usages.
LOOKIN' VERY NICE THANKYOU!!!

I need a lower unit that can be surfaced on the small block Etec 200 for my Allison. Is there any hope?

Hi David,

I have not heard of anything in that area for the small block E-Tec. These small V6 blocks started life as the Johnson FastStrike & Evinrude Intruders (2589cc) in 1992. I wouldn't be surprised that something will eventuate in the High Performance area at some stage, after all they are similar to the Merc performance engine of today. My suggestion would be to speak to Gary Williams (Instigator) who I am sure would be able to point you in the right direction

In the meantime.

Won't the gear case off of the 150HO also fit the 200 small block ?

The 150 HO gearcase would fit the 200 small block, but it would still need a cone and lower water pick ups for SS2000 duty. What would that do to the warranty?

I'll probably just put another gearcase on my XR4, but I would like a reliable green motor to replace it.
