i just wanted to thank john gore, robert, roy, barney, john, scott, mike and of coarse missy, debbie, leah, and cheri. for taking brenda and i under your wing. we went on the river run with them, and had a blast!!! john and missy showed us how to get to the park from the boat ramp. these guys treated us like we have been friends for years. we shared their tent for the races.. you guys made our first jasper trip awesome. we will be back next year!!!! you guys all have an open invitation to come up as see how we do it lake cumberland style anytime!!!!!!

Actually, 3 new pieces. A little more work on the driver and I should do good.

However, let me say this; after some of the completely out of control Allisons I saw at Jasper, I have a lot more confidence that I can fly mine a little higher with no problem.

My boat goes straight as an arrow without all the side to side stuff I saw.

I will be much better at Rucker in April.

you have to just say i'm going for it and do it. you have the expierence, and your boat drives better than mine. mine is a handful. the 24 drag from performance is sweet, but some of my others are tough to drive. i think the 98 SS were a touch lighter and didn't handle as well as the later ones. the lip on the end of the pad is a little too big!!!!!!! i'm going to take mine down a little bit. just bought a 9" jack plate just for racing. did robert make your plate for the bottom of the jack plate??

maybe i can get him to make me one!!!!

Mike Mullis made the plate on my boat. He was the original owner and he also had the bottom worked by Allison.

I try to work on my boat, but there is nothing much to do...it has all been done, and I am not ready to build my second engine yet. Stuff keeps coming up and taking my money. I need a good crank and a set of pistons.

I still say you should stay with 260s.

my 260 has been awesome!!!!! but your in the hole 40 hp from the get go.
i could always get it ported to S3000 specs. it is such a geat motor i don't want to tear it up. i have someone interested in my old bp powerhead. if the deal falls through i may go crazy with that thing. it is ported racing rods it screamed for a 2.4. it ran as hard as my 260, and i had carbs on it.

i need one of those plates though. i going to work on the pad a little too!!

i don't have any extra 260 parts just bp stuff. if i had to buy pistons i would have us1 top pin them. he did my last ones.
