Ron Morton won 8 sec. Followed by his son Brian as runner up, can't remember who got 3rd, I followed with 4th place.

Sam Shultz won 9 sec.

Smokin in the cove website has not listed official results as of the last time I checked.

Awesome job with pics !! I know several people that race ODBA and no one takes any pics even though they have ten powerheads sitting around the garage !! Folks need to remember that these days caught on film will last forever ! Way to go Chapman and buds .

Pou took a lot of pics also, I think he is gonna get them to Dinomite so he can post them. I think he got some shots of the boats leaving the starting line, Aprile took all of these above and didn't get any running shots. The race site over there is awesome, the fans are right on top of the action, some of the locals on the other side of the cove behind the starting line even drug a couch out of the house and out onto the dock, they absolutley love this race and treat us like one of their own. Just a bunch of good ol' folks from the Arkansas hills.

This is one of THE races I've always wanted to go to.

Have heard nothing but good about it and you gotta like a race with no motor restrictions :)

Looks like a great turn out too.

Funny too about racing in the hills......I did a bunch of that back in the day and the locals always acted like we were Nascar coming to town.

Gary, Jon Had the merc on it at the cove..it came apart on sunday:( slinging parts everywhere when it did .. i think his last qualifying run was a 6.04 on saturday afternoon...

Gary it was running hard...:) but i dont know how he finished..I didnt go sunday , we watch qualifying friday and saturday ,, and thats about all the walking my messed up knee could take, Got up sunday morning.. took a ride on the lake.. packed up the campsite and took my son to the mall so he could wander around then headed home...
