How much setback on a 21' Daytona/Cougar for V8

Another question, what set back would give me optimal perf. with out porpoising and such? Boat in question is a 21' daytona or cougar with a mod. V8

Never measured, but I think ours is 12-14". That is pretty typical of other setups I've seen.

We don't get any low-speed porpoise, but do have some hop, depending on loading, between 60 and 70.
