I'm turning a 24 chopper wheel on a heavy ranger 6600 rpm's. This is a 82 225 offshore power head with an alum flywheel.
I like the set up but am concerned about the rpm's. Should I go to a bigger wheel?? I've got a 26 mazco-re to try.

Thanks.

If the 6600 rpm is light load full throttle, that is probably OK. You'll turn lower revs with more load. Your acceleration is optimized by turning the engine a little high at light loads.

If you are running 6600 with a load, or seldom run a load, and run WOT full rpm a lot, then try another 2" of pitch.
