The landings are pillowy soft. I dont lie. The only problem is the sets were real close that day. Its hard to set up for bigair off a 5 or 6 when there is another one right behind it. (Especially H20's 30.)Thats what beats up the boat (& me) more than anything.

You are right about the Sets being close last Sunday probably about 30ft. spacing at Jones Inlet. The 30 Y2K can take a lot comfortably, but hitting the second wave the boat has to be somewhat centered on it, to short stuff the nose, to long stuff the nose... Boat took it fine My Throttle Arm wedged between the bulkhead and throttle is a bit bruised though...

John . I gotta say all in all my foot throttle takes care of the fatgued/bruised throttle arm syndrome. And no my foot doesnt bounce off the pedal either contrary to some belief among the "carmotor" crew.

I got real used to my foot pedal in the 27 progression... JC was on the progression with me on a return trip from Kismit and couldnt keep his eyes off the pedal... All he said was "You like that F'in thing" two hands on the wheel holding on tight is what he saw and like you said totally in control of the pedal... We talked about installing the pedal for months because I was actually nervous about getting back to one hand on the wheel...

Supajay Got Dual full hydrolic latham steering- But once you have a gas pedal and two hands on the wheel (in sit down boat) it keeps you braced in your seat - just need a strong steering wheel... I remember holding onto the wheel at times that I probably would have been thrown out of my seat if I only had one hand on the wheel, I could definatly get more radical with two hands on the wheel...

Why the switch from a 27 progression to a y2k, didn't want the 29 progression?
BTW that super you have is a nice boat, it looks sharp.

I LOVE my foot throttle. I also have the foot trim, i find it kinda tough to adjust the trim or to even throttle with only one hand on the wheel. Unfortnately I don't get to run in the nice swells you guys I have, I boat on Lake St. Clair in Detroit and its typically a huge bath tub! Very hard to judge how big the wave coming at you is, and they come from all directions, so two hands is a MUST.

My 27 progression killed me in the 3-4ft. rough water which around here boat wakes alone are that big... 29 progression is 2ft. longer but same basic design and $$$... Superboat 7ft. beam is made for waves... I jump waves and that is what I like... JC of Superboat has been a freind for years and I finally could afford what I wanted and I choose a custom made 30Y2K because of its Ocean Performance... Others around here which are similar were activator$$$ or hustler$$$

I wondered if the 7 ft beam made others that much better or worse in the rough water. I face a lot of those 4-5 foot cruiser wakes too.....they aren't super fun, i prefer wind waves, swells, etc.

My only complaint iwth my progression is trying to keep the bow down in the rough stuff....

Seems the progressions fly nose high... Which leads to a rough ride in any size waves 2ft+... Has to do with the hull shape from what I can figure... Good hull for high speed in 1-2ft chop but once the white caps form??? As far as tilt/trim and Gas Pedal on the floor I'm all for it... I loved the control... Progressions definatly look good on the water... Kevin does a great job...
