Hi all,
Just wanted to say hi, and introduce myself.... my name is Greg, located in Melbourne, Australia.
My boat is a 1997, 19' Adrenaline (V Hull, with flat bottom), with a 1997, 225hp Venon Johnson, running a 27" Shooter prop (4 blade) currently its capable of ~85mph with minimal Chin Walk.
I have a problem with it... I keep on breaking jacking plates, the ones in Australia are hopeless. I would love to get a hydrolic unit but due to the Aus-US $$$$ conversion, its not feasable. I have done some research and have come up with the following brands, HiJacker Pro HP, and the CMC ML-65.... in your opinion which one is better as they are similarly priced... take into consideration I will most likly modify the motor for more speed :D and want the Jacking plate to last....
thanks
G.

Welcome to S&F. When you decide what you want, be sure you let me know. I will get you the very best price on almost any brand of jackplate that you might want. You might want to consider a Detwiler too.

I don't think you'd be bending one of those.

GREG...
It is very cool that you have landed here and have introduced yourself....
WELCOME
I HOpe we Can Help you out and make you feel welcome here!!
Sounds like a neat boat you have!!
Post some pictures for us sometime soon!!
My buddy Sean (FlatOut) has had great succes with CMC Stainless Steel Lift PL. He runs the same Motor you have on a 19' Boat also.
Unfortunately other Aluminum Brackets did not fair well for him either.
Unfortunately they are expensive , but there is probably someone on board that can get you the best possible deal on one if interested.

Welcome GTR, this is a great place with more combined boating knowledge that I've ever come across before. Not to mention the friendly ribbing & "brand rivalries" that will keep you laughing.

Greg,
Welcome, and we're very glad to have you. I don't know much about the manual jackplates, but the only hyd. plate I would use is the Stainless Marine Gorilla.
There is a TON of people here that could answer all of your questions though, so relax, and enjoy the forums!
