I threw a blade off my previous prop, a 4 blade bravo with 4 exhaust holes.
I borrowed a bravo from a friend and can barely get on plane, once I do It's good to go. Can I just drill holes in the prop for the exhaust like the previous prop had?
I understand this may weaken the prop and wondered if there is a special way it has to be done.....

As long as its his prop... sure you can.
I don't really know but I don't see anything special about it. I'm sure that this was some bass fishers or racers idea and not a companies. They usually aren't.
Are we talking the same pitch?

It's 2" more pitch, but painfully obvious the lack of ventilation on take off is the problem. Once the prop slips a little it spools right up and takes off, but it takes 100 yards to get to that point.

Scrap the Sportmaster & Bravo. Drop the engine down. Run a Torquemaster & TrophyPlus. http://img131.imageshack.us/img131/7540/bashkd9.gif (http://imageshack.us)

Why are you running Bravo props.....why not a Mirage or equivlant that already has the vent holes?

the boat came with a bravo that was ventilated, I also have a trophy, currently I am running a torquemaster the propshaft is dead even with the bottom of the boat. The trophy slips too much.
The bravo works well until I spend the $$ to get a 25" mid so I can get the propshaft below the bottom of the boat.

A good prop shop can cut them for you. Someone like Kevin @ R&R Prop Shop can do it on a CNC mill, so the holes match the Mercury PVS profile. That gives you the ability to partially or completely plug the holes to tune the ventilation.
In a non-outboard application, most of the time vent holes aren't required or wanted...with PVS spec holes, you can sell the prop to an I/O guy where other holes may send that sale off track.
