Trying to put a merc on my boat, it has fishin TNT on it
has three wires coming out of it, a solid colerd blue ,
green , black wires.they have round eyelit type connectors
where do they go?
The harnes thatcomes back from the throtle assembly
has four wires coming out of it they are blue, green ,
brown ,tan, all with a white stripe in them, The ends are
a male plug type, are these for TnT?
Any help on the matter is greatly appriciated.:)
From the trim pump motor:
Solid Blue - to the "Up" solenoid
Solid Green - to the "Down" solenoid
Solid Black - to "Ground"
Blue/White stripe - "Up" solenoid control circuit
Green/White stripe - "Down" solenoid control circuit
Brown/White stripe - Trim sender to Trim Indicator gauge
Tan with white stripe?????? Check this because the tan wires are usually associated with the Temperature/Alarm Circuits. Tan wire is for the Alarm Horn and there is usually a Tan/Blue Stripe wire that goes to the Temp sender for a Temperature Gauge. The Tan/Blue stripe one usually runs outside of the harness. Check to make sure that the Tan wire you are refering to has a stripe. Send me your "real" e-mail address and I will send you some V-6 wiring diagrams. They are essential. Some wires are not used depending upon if you have the side mount remote control, intergral trim vs. pump in the boat, and trim limit switches etc. The harness has provisions for all. You could say its "universal" for what I previously mentioned.

I think ive got a real mess here, i have a 1982 200 black
max with a early 90 ish tilt so i dont have the selonoids
your refering to?? also the throttle assem is 90 ish i think
looks like i gotta go parts huntin.
I looked at the tan wire, my mistake, it is solid and it has
a female plug, also appears to be the same wire coming
out up by the gauge acessory wire plug.
Thanx for your response, those diagrams will be greatly
appreciated.
you got me on the email the only one i have is the one
listed?:)
I'll post some drawings here...............save them and print them out. Your Trim Solenoids should be mounted in the front part of the engine starboard on the side of the carbs.
These should get you in the ballpark.............
