Pulled boat out of water yesterday, and saw lower unit fluid leaking from top vent, why is this happening, and any ideas on what I should do?

If your'e talking about the little hole in the lower unit near the cav plate, that is the drain hole to drain the water out of the water pump. If you have oil comming out of that hole, the shaft seal under the water pump is bad. If it's comming out of the hole near the front of the lower unit, then it's the shift shaft seal.

It is up near the cavitation plate, up in front, furthest from the prop. Is the water pump near the impeller?

Check to see if your fluid looks like coffee with milk.
If it does don't run it got a bad seal.

Replaced drive shaft seal, hopefully that will be it. getting that out was a bitch! Had to make a special tool to fit it over the shaft to unscrew

Could be just that the vent plug O-Ring gasket needs replacing. I had one leak once.
