Woke up this morning & my roof looked like Pyros favorite Canadian breakfast cereal! Yup, only August & Frost allready! Gotta get out of this Godforsaken Place. In your valued opinions what is the most desirable part of the US to live takeing into account climate, employment, low crime rate, affordability, recreation & all those sorts of things. Oh Ya, lakes - rivers close by. I,ve allways been interested in the byou country. Lets have your thoughts guys.

Clean, the circle on your map has Hiawassee Ga. right about dead center. :D
If making a living didn't matter, thats where I'd be.
I'm in the upper right area of the circle.

miami14680, I moved to Tennessee from Miami when the Miami tourist slogan became "Come back to Miami! We weren't shooting at YOU!" Circa 1975.

What do you do for a living? Twin cities, Mn, and many smaller communities have quite a variety of industry.
Minnesota has lots of lakes, a few sports franchises, some culture, (theatre etc) relatively low crime rate. and most of the bridges stay up.
It's hot in the summer, and cool vs cold (by your standards) in the winter.
If you don't like the weather, just wait a couple of days, it usually changes.

I agree with John. I spent some time in southern MN this summer, liked it a lot. They still have a winter, but better than Edmonchuck or Winterpeg.

The only good thing about frost is it kills mosquitos and starts the fall yard work early. Humm? winterize the boat, put the mc's away, fire up the snowblower, check the antifreeze - block heaters ~~~~~ You southern boys have no idea! Riverman does.
