Me and a friend are both looking into purchasing new 4 stroke Suzuki motors over the winter.... He is looking in the 6-15hp range and Im looking at a 115..
Any comments good or bad about them ?

i had a 90 suzuki on the national park service boat i ran all summer. the motor must have 300hrs on it with no problems and i spin it 5800-6k (limiter) all week long! The only thing that sucks is the fact that you could have a 150hp 2 stroke for the same weight... Check out E-tecs ;)

Any 4 stroke owners are probably out fishing, or wishing they had a 2 stroke if they want to go faster.

if your gunna look in the 115 range get a 140.. same weight same motor same everything just 25 more ponys and a better engine to boot, the suzukies are great engines, ok on speed and great in midrange, friend is the only suzuki dealer in town and he sells the chit out of them.... the 140 is popular umong the small engine crowd but the 150/175 is really catching on.. as for 8-15 hp look to yamaha.... you can get a T8 high thrust electric start Power trim equipped motor for just a hair over 2K and they are the quietrest motors out there right now.... as much as im a die hard 2 stroke fan, that little T8 is really hard to beat in the 8 HP class its got the power of a 2 stroke 9.9 and the quiet tone that all 4 strokes should have...

Friend of mine just put a 140 Suzuki on his boat. Super quiet and great on gas, and a lot of get up and go.;) Chuck
