I have done a little research here but not come up with enough info. I have my motor at a marina. They are looking into as to why it bogs badly when you throttle up. I did not read all of the things here before I brought it to them. The mechanic showed me that the spark was eratic on all 4 cylinders? I understand that these motors are a 2+2 and the lower 3 kick in when it gets over 2200rpm. Have to check mine closer. My question is do they have bad spark as well? The mechanic wants to order a new stator, and also control box, not the trigger. He says thay would not get spark at all if trigger was bad. This is going to cost me a fortune!! Please help me here, the bad thottle is killing me.
