View Full Version : 30 Spectre with triple drag motors from OHIO

Any of you Ohio guys know the story on this boat. It is a 1998 30' Spectre with triple 1998 Mecury Drag motors. The boat is white with purple to blue fade graphics with yellow accents. It says Great White Marine on the side in 6" letters. The boat is for sale down here and we would like to know the story on it before an offer can be made. Thanks, Mike

I wonder if it is the same one that was featured in this months Hot Boat Magazine. The boat in the feature was originally rigged with two 2.5 drags and he added a third. If it is the same one, he even had Spectre add a center pod to protect the center engine.

I don't know where I found this picture. Is this perhaps the boat in question?

That picture was taken at the Rumble '01.

If memory serves me right, the Hot Boat article boat and this boat are the same.

I don't know the boat, maybe Instigator or someone can shed more light on this.

It is the same boat that is in Hotboat. We were wondering where it has been since that article was written and anybody knows of any problems etc... It is at a repo lot down here. The bank owns it now.

Repo lot?!?!

Sounds like someone might end up with a good deal on their hands.
I don't know where it has been, or when the original Ohio owner unloaded on it, or how it ended up in Florida.

Good luck on the deal, I hope you steal it!

It is the same boat as in the Hot Boat article.
The owner bought it new with twins, then re-rigged with tripples.
It was at the Rumble and I have seen the boat many times.
Every time I have seen it, it was spotless, and rigged flawlessly!

Here's the funny part.
The owner took the boat to Fla. to be in a photo shot for a Merc catalog.
He fell in lust with the model riding in his boat in the pictures, came home and asked his wife for a divorce!
She said, "sure"!
I'll take half of everything please!
Hence the sale.

And yeah there is a couple of pictures of it on last years Rumble site. Was runnning around 118 as I recall.

P.S. Repo lot??? Wonder if they'd take a beater van and a 1/2 done Vector on trade???
