Just saw on the USA news, almost 7" of rain in New Ulm. Sure would be a shame to see that pretty little town get flooded.
Didn't see anything about Fairmont, everyone OK down there?

It appears that the flooding is to the east, it sure looks like a mess. I think Ripper is over that way, hope he is OK....

I'm north of there a little. They got so much rain Saturday that roads were washing out, houses washing away, etc. National guard was called out. Major disastor #2 in 3 weeks in Minnesota.
Typical Minnesota response, more help than they can use. Natural disasters we can't control, but the response here is pretty fantastic.

Flooded huge here... They say almost 17 inches in less then 30 hours... My house has damage (I live in Stockton MN) but my neighbors flooted away and passed on... John and Shirley were pretty cool old people... Really great neighbors and loved our kids... Anyway thanks for the concern, my hopes of getting a Euro have been delayed... No flood insurance (We were concidered a once in 500 years flood plane...) There are all kinds of pictures... My house (after the water went down) just needed to be cleaned really well... We have to replace some flooring but it could have been a lot worse... My brother may have lost his whole house... Still waiting on Fema and Ins.... Thanks again for the concern... I did rescue about 50 people off of roofs and decks the wee hours of the morning with the flat bottome... (Not even mine, I just took it from a neighbor!) I was worried, it had a Evanrude on it... I didn't want to die holding the tiller of that... LOL
All and all am really lucky, I have seen Haley's comet, 3 100 year floods, a 500 year flood, and if the Vikings win the Superbowl, perhaps Hell freezing over!
God bless,
Ripper
I'll post some picts eventually... Lost DJ, cameras, and other stuff in flood... Thanks God for back up stuff...

Damn Ripper, that really sucks about your neighbors, how tragic. We have been praying for rain here all summer and now finally got 7" in the last week, nothing like what you guys are getting though. Hope things get better soon.
Not sure how to comment on the Vikings and superbowl thing, GO PACK!!!!!
Hi Brad, how is the weather in your neck of the woods? Coming down to Pauls any time soon???
Later,
Craig
