I have an '99 150 Optimax that was laid up for a year or so. I have it running but there is no power to get on plane,I have checked the air and fuel pressure at idle and that looks perfect. I had a 21" prop on it would just die going to WOT I have now replaced the prop with a 17" one, it is better. Now it will not stall but still, after a second at WOT but does not stall but is not making enough power. It sort of surges with some power

There is another fuel filter in the fuel management module at the end of the high pressure pump, right? Could this be clogged it looks a little difficult to get to. Anybody ever clean this? Any experience with this being the issue?

Thanks for any help,

Just a thought, but did you change out your fuel?? Especially if it's been sitting up for a prolonged period of time.

Yes it is new fuel on a separate tank. I have now checked the screen in the fuel/ vapor separator that is mounted to the high pressure fuel pump inside. It was clear, I guess I'll try some new plugs tommorrow unless someone else has an idea...
Thanks
