I have owned lots of boats.. the best performing being a Hydrostream HST which just nosed over 100 mph...loved it. Now I want something with a little more passenger capacity and rough water capacity. Basically fastest boat with a single engine setup. But man... theres a lot to learn out here. 22 Talon is sounding like a great bet... but there's Skaters, HTM's, Eliminators, Cougars, and many others that I can't recall right now...I just haven't been around this enough to know! so input please!! have been considering STV Euro as well...smaller... but hard to beat the performance...no...?

Single or twin engine? Outboard or inboard? New or used? HTM mostly made inboards, the other boats you mention are mostly outboards, as is this site. Twin engine outboards will be tough to insure but wicked fast.

The new Talon 22s will go 100 with a 300 and take bigger water than an STV.

I would go in inboard or single engine outboard - tring to avoid twin outboards... just more to break down... harder to insure... and twice the gas... Depth of the seating is important too... dont want to be sitting up high like in an eliminator 21... any more thoughts guys?

How much $$$$ you have to spend, then suggesting a boat would be easier?

yes...money... the tricky part. I would like to spend $20000... will spend $30000 no problem... and If I fell in love... might spend up to $50000... I heard about a great performing tunnel open bow last year and can't remember the name of it.. any help on this one? I would love to have it all... carry people... and go fast.

HTM makes an openbow, and with enough power it's fast.

Fred , I'm afraid the Fast Open Bow Cat your thinking of was a guy out in Californa claiming he could run 110mph with 10 people in his boat . That ranks rite up there with a 300hp 2.4 on a 21' boat running over 100 mph boat . And I don't need to look that up . Rich Martin 018:rolleyes:
