Water Pump

I have a 18' Argo Cat + Yammie 90 + CNC Jack. My mech suggested an external water pump for extreme engine height settings. Anybody tried this ?

HI. Interesting, will you explain how he would go about this? Perhaps he meant a remote water pick-up thanks.

Perhaps, although I have a nosecone with lwp. Maybe its used more in OPC ?

You would be better off with the regular LWP in the lower unit! This will be
in the water all the time, unlike your remote pick-up. Also, you don't have the orig. inlets plugged... unless plugged from inside.

I can understand why you would want an external water pick-up, but why an external pump when you already have one on the engine?
