i went to the local auto parts store today and the amsoil rep was there so i asked him a few oil questions as to what i should run in my boat he told me try the interceptor at 32:1 or run the saber at 100:1 or if its was spinning alot of rpm run at 80:1:eek:, i ended up with interceptor because i had my choice between that and there race oil. but who here would trust there motor to 100:1 or 80:1 im not sure if i would trust it.

also he said there race oil is a waste of money unless your engine runs warm for a long period of time(air cooled dirt bikes and such at high rpm)

Listen to what the engine manufacturer says to mix the fuel at, not what an oil salesman says. There are several threads on here about people who have used Amsoil with very $$$ results. Do a search and decide.

The consensus on here (if you're interested in hearing it) is Alisyn synthetic at 50:1, 40:1 if running over 6000 RPM for fishing motors. The 260 and such Mercs are run at 32:1. :)

or he could do a search and pull up the 10 million other oil threads :)
