mercury 3.0l motor o/b lower unit noise

when i spin my prop i hear i a lite clunk as it goes around ,is this bad? some say its ok,some says its a hub nosie and you can wait to replace it ,any help ??? thanks

sounds like the cluchdog hiting a gear, it might go away with a little shift cable adjustment but lts probly fine

shift cable? how would i adjust that or will it just happin,thanks for the help

try having some one slowly put it into foward and then rev as you spin the prop,see if the noise goes away and witch side it favors.hope that helps ya:D
