Yes, this is an outboard.
Quiz:
(1) anyone know the maker?
(2) anyone name the function of each port?

(1) Yeah, I know what it is, but it wouldn't be fair for me to answer... Let's see if someone else knows.
(2) Sam, I could give a smart a** answer (like move air fuel in, residuals out!), but I'd like to know the real answer myself, so..., no I don't know.

you have two sets of intake ports... you have two sets of exhaust ports ... both sets are located on each side... thats why this motor looked so weird " 2 cyl. with 4 pipes. 2 on each side'' THEY HAD A 4CYL. VERSION TOO...

I FORGOT THE 2 BYPASS PORTS .. THESE MOTORS MAINLY RAN ON ALCOHOL .. THE PISTONS ARE VERY SOFT ....
