Test Wheel choice

I bought a 1988 Johnson 225 hp V-6 from a guy last weekend and bolted it to the back of my 1988 Forrester 17.5 Special Edition to see how it runs. Before I put it in the water I've got to put a prop on it.

I have three wheels on the shelf, a 17, 19 (both 3 blade) and a 24 (4 blade) pitch. I'd like to see how the motor runs, (temps plug color etc.) not how fast the boat runs........it's a heavy old ski boat..........before I fix up a Talon 18 for the 225. I hung it without the jack plate.

go with the 24. the other even on a heavy 17[i do knowthe boat] would be too small.
