Blew hole in the block of my 280. HELP!

Who is the best to repair my Block and rebuild the motor? This thing has maybe 30 hours on it total. Running on the Tenn river and blew it up crusing maybe 80.

Who?

I will pull powerhead and ship out, but I need it done right.

Ruck does the block work for almost all of them. Send him the bare block if you can tear it down. I would then send the repaired block to Brendan Power in florida to have it put back together.

If you have no idea what you are doing then just send the entire drop on powerhead to Brendan Power.

I have never used Jay Smith but MANY people have and have really been happy with both service and product.

I would not send anything to Pierson.

I'll second what was said on Ruck............... first class work and fairly quick too. I was totally satisfied with his machine work. Also, I've never heard a complaint on him.

I don't have personal experience with Randy Pierson, but am aware of some work he did for someone here that I wouldn't have in my stuff, so MY OPINION (for what little it's worth) is to look elsewhere.

There're too many guys like Jay with VERY GOOD reputations to gamble on somebody who's questionable at best.
