Hi, I'm anyone.:D Depends on your operating system, and how much you use the computer. I'd say once a month should be fine for defrag. I run disk cleanup every few days, mainly to dump temporary internet files.

You may need to defrag more frequently in the next five months, because your going to be downloading, and posting all those pictures:D

If your machine is running slow, there are other things to look at, but always start with the basics. PM me if your having trouble.

Another thing. Don't wait till your drive is almost full. You need about 15% free space to do a de-frag if I'm not mistaken.

Here is my usual order for doing a computer cleanup. I do about once every 2 weeks

1) Check for MS updates
2) Delete TEMP Files & Cookies & Browser History
3) Disk Cleanup
4) Ad-Aware Spyware check (or Spyware tool of your choice)
5) AVG Virus Scan (or Virus Scan of your choice)
6) Disk Defragment

I also try and keep my main HD as little used as possible. I have a smaller HD used to store all my media. Helps keep the PC fast and only uses minimal amount of space.

Hope this helps:)

really depends on your operating system. If you;re running Vista or even XP for that matter there's no need to defrag, it's not going to make any difference.

I schedule updates for my antivirus and OS and then schedule scans for antivirus, then run ad-aware
