Hello all
What I have is a 83 Eliminator Daytona, 21ft, with a Mercury black max 300 and no prop. Yes, it's the one that was for sale on here about a weak ago. I have learned on here that this motor does not like high rpm (5500 max ?) so what would you guys recomend for a prop? I will not be trying to break any speed records, this will be my first outboard and my first non V hull (all others where jets) so I'm looking for some thing to learn with, :o and use later as a spare. Also, what would you recomend as a good fast prop for later.

Anybody? Any ideas? Someone must have had something close to this before, and I have no idea where to start  ????

Lots of props would work good on that boat.

Since there are lots of Bravo 1 props around, just go ahead and get one of those to try. Some guys like the Mazco or the Hydromotive or the Yamaha Drag style props. It all depends on what you want to do with the boat. A used Bravo would be a good place to start. Maybe a 28" with 3/4" vent holes? I know guys put much larger holes in them but you could maybe try one with no vent holes at all.

OK now all the real experts can tell you what they think. Get that Wildman guy to tell you what to do. He's the resident expert on that hull design. I think he likes the Mazco RE4 and the Performance Props Drag 4?

Thanks for the help 300 x Stoker.

So a 28 pitch? what diameter? 14 1/2 in?
Also, I have seen when looking at props on here, something about big/small shaft? How do I know what my motor is?
I know these may seem like dumb questions but I just dont know anything about outboards. :o
